0-16... they CAN get it done

The Detroit Lions managed to do what no team in NFL history managed to do... finish 0-16. You can't say the team didn't know how to finish the season. If they won a game the Lions would've ruined a perfect season. Don't get me wrong, I feel for every member of the team that went out on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and worked their butt's off to be worthy of being in the NFL as a success. They didn't make it, but they tried their best I'm sure. For those who have been mailing it in and collecting a check from the inept Ford family, need to be kicked out of the league. I'm not too mad about it since there is no way to establish who didn't play their hearts out by asking them... you'd have to do the painful act of watching every game and every play. I didn't do that so I can't come down on them too hard but eventhough this is the NFL, you need discipline and composure so you don't give away 25 points in the last 8 minutes of game when all you have to do is finish. You could argue the Lions haven't finished a season strong since Barry Sanders was playing. Easy argument to win if you look at the win loss total since Sanders retired due to the Lion's organization sucking the fun out of the game for him. This team doesn't want to win and the organization isn't trying to make a winner. Can't argue that either. Ask the coach of the East-West Shrine game about what he thinks about the Lion organization... that was just before Millen took over. I have to cut this short but I've more to say about my team but time is short. More later

One more from last night

I'm working on updating a painting I did in college and I've been working on and off on changing poses and positions for a 6 months now. Had a minor breakthru and started making some serious inroads into getting the drawing together for a painting. Psylocke and Juggernaut fighting again. Here is a look at a prelim for Psylocke.

New work for the new year

Haven't posted in a bit and wanted to add 2 more pieces to the site. More character creations of my co-workers. Hope you like. The alpha male and the avenging angel.

0-12

Are you smelling it? I am... its in the air and floating around the Lions locker room like a heavy funk weighing down the hopes and participation of the entire team. I'll post some pre-Thanksgiving Day art for the li-downs but they are still my team. I'm down on them now because as a fan, I should be and any other fan as well. They aren't living up to the talent on the roster which is not stellar but is better than 0-11. I don't want to see them go 0-16 but looks like unless they get it together soon, they will make more history and get another first round pick.

Small favors...

one version of painter goes out, and a new one comes in thanks to the varied mystery of the "internets". Gotta love it.

No art just me

Just wanted to let everyone who views my post and know me personally, can you say a small prayer or keep my good friend Yujin in your thoughts. He really has become like family to me since college and he was told that he might have 3 months to live due to a n aggressive form of leukemia that has been held at bay for years until now. Without going into great detail, Yuj is a great guy and an amazing example of the power of being positive in the face of what could be the end of his life. He'll pull through but I really felt the need to put out a call to whoever is reading this to keep him in mind. Take care and live this day like its your last one on the planet. Yuj does and will after the treatment and the leukemia is gone. Stay frosty.

One from the past
